Moksha’s first show was a great success at the Robert Powell Theatre in Salford University. The evening which had a near sell out crowd began with a solo recital from Rishi Banerjee who presented a mixture of Bengali songs from Rabindrasangeet, Atulprasad and Dwijendralalgeeti.
Afterwhich invited arts group ARTS BENGAL performed two short pieces- a translation of Tagore’s ‘Karna Kunti Sangbad’ and a Shruti Natak (dialogue) called ‘Classfriend’. Thanks to Shilajit Ghosh and Kaushik Chaudhuri and his troupe for performing.
The finale was presented by Moksha, a dance drama: AMAR PREM- IMMORTAL LOVE, a dance drama based on Radha & Krishna. The dance drama was a journey of Radha, her Sakhis and also Krishna. The dance drama used immortal compositions by Rabindranath Tagore and was accompanied by English and Bengali Narration.
